Study in the
gaps.

GlassNet keeps a deck of flashcards drifting quietly through your menu bar, dressed up as a list of nearby networks. Click one, write down what you think it means, then find out.

    Nothing studied yet

Nothing is marked right or wrong

A string comparison can’t tell “the thigh bone” from “longest bone in the leg”. So GlassNet doesn’t try. You write your answer, read the real one, and say which it was.

    1. A card drifts past

Cards arrive and leave on their own schedule, one to six on screen. Nothing beeps, nothing badges, nothing asks for your attention.

    2. You write what it means

The password prompt is the recall. Typing an answer from memory is the part that does the work, which is why there’s no button to skip it.

    3. You grade yourself

A tick or a cross under the definition. Cards you miss come back sooner and more often; cards you’ve proven get a rest.

Nine decks ready, or write your own

Install up to three at a time from the library. Removing one frees a slot, so the menu never turns into a filing cabinet.

A card is a term and a definition. That’s the whole model — the term becomes the network name you see, the definition is what unlocks. The editor holds every deck you write, and built-in decks can be duplicated and rewritten without touching the original.

Learn a drive before you take it

Enter a start and a destination. GlassNet turns the route into a deck — every turn in order, with distances and towns, ending on a card that just says End.

Built on Apple Maps, so there’s no account and nothing is sent anywhere else. It’s a desk tool: learn the turns at home instead of glancing at a phone at speed.

Four backgrounds, none of them photographs

Every tree, headstone and ornament is placed by a seeded generator and redrawn each frame. They animate — light shifts, snow falls, a bare tree sways — and they add nothing to the download.

Your decks never leave your Mac

No account. No sync. No analytics. Route planning is the only feature that touches the network, and it talks to Apple Maps. Everything else works with the Wi-Fi off — which, given the icon, feels only fair.

    Bought once, yours

GlassNet is a small tool that does one thing, so it’s priced like one. There’s no tier above this and nothing behind a paywall — every deck, every theme and route learning are all included.

If it doesn’t fit how you study, write and I’ll refund you. I’d rather that than have it sitting unused in your menu bar.
